The Little Old Gaffe Maker

It seems that almost every single day Vice President Joe Biden manages to stick his foot in his mouth with a new and, most times, very amusing gaffe. Remember those critics who were yelling loudly about their concern of Sarah Palin being a heart beat away from the presidency. Well...I wonder how they feel now about Biden...and worse yet...just two heart beats away from the presidency is..........Nancy Pelosi!!!!! Think about this unbelievable line of succession. I still believe that Sarah Palin had more practical, real world management experience than all three of them...combined!!

Moving Toward Socialism?

When I heard the news yesterday that the government is moving toward taking over General Motors, I found this to be a bit disturbing. Now that the government, for all intent and purpose, already controls the banking industry and is planning to try and set compensation amounts for all executives...and now wants a law that would require credit card holders with good credit and who pay their bills on time to be charged more, in other words penalized for being a good credit risk, to help pay for those who are not responsible and fail to pay what they owe...the only word I can think of is... Outrageous! It also looks like nationalized medicine is in the pipeline. For a president who has never been in charge of anything, he now wants to run everything. In addition, apologizing to the world for America's effort to try and get rid of those who would destroy freedom and democracy just doesn't make any sense either. It sure seems to me that this administration is racing down the path to a nanny state of entitlement...or as history might call it...failed socialism...faster than Hitler marched through Poland. Just because Barack Obama surrounds himself with very gifted and glib speech writers, and that he has proven that he has mastered the art of reading a teleprompter this does not mean that he is smart. In fact, he may be the most naive president in history. It appears that he is being led by those around him who are bound and determined to change the foundational values that this country was built upon before most Americans wake up and see what is happening. This country was founded upon the belief that everyone has the right to work hard and enjoy the fruits of their labor. This ideal seems to be heading in exactly the opposite direction. We all need to take a good look at ourselves and determine if we really believe in anything...or are we truly becoming a bunch of lemmings heading for the highest cliff in history.

Obama Popularity Poll

I find it very interesting that in spite of the media's pandering and overtly gushing over the new president instead of fulfilling the role of being the watchdogs that political media have historically been, that the recent poll of the people after the first 100 days shows Obama's popularity just average. This seems remarkable since he has, basically, received no negative news coverage. It would appear that when he is starting off with just average approval from the people, that if all of his grandiose plans fail to provide the positive results that he is predicting, and he continues down his current path of leading the country toward socialism, and he continues with the Jimmy Carter style of appeasing our enemies, we could find ourselves with another one term president.
